Weslaco

Nov.30
Anna and I went to Weslaco today which is just a few minutes drive down the highway. We stopped at a very unique store called "Bugambilia's Marketplace".  It is very attractively decorated from the outside.

When we entered the store it was as though we had just stepped into a very large house with many rooms. Each room was  unique  and very tastfully decorated and everything in each room was for sale. There were beautiful paintings, furniture, and sculptures in some of the rooms. Other rooms had books or cards, while others had candles or pillows or lotions.  I have never been in a place like it. It was absolutely beautiful. One of the rooms was  very large and filled with sculptures of children playing. Some were riding a teeter-totter, another one was fishing,  several children were walking atop a board fence, and some were just reading books. It was absolutely enchanting.

Right outside the front of the store I found the perfect man for Anna. Although he was a bit stiff, he was very quiet and quite handsome really. As you can see, he was also a very snappy dresser.

We picked up some groceries on the way home and once again they were playing Christmas Carols in the parking lot. It was about 28C at the time.

After doing a lot of laps around the park with my bike, I joined the RV crowd for dinner out at a Tex-Mex restaurant down the highway. All the Mexican restaurants make their own taco chips and salsa and they brings piles of it to the table to snack on before you get your dinner. They are unbelievably delicious and bear no resemblance at all to what you buy in a bag. All our meals were very good and we had a fun time there.

It was another great day here in the Valley. The temperature climbed to about 31 today and I just couldn`t quit smiling! I just love this heat!

Keep warm.

Now it is a very unique store with numerous rooms  both upstairs and down. Each room is decorated like a room in a house and  everything in that room is for sale.
